The use of a Harrison Central School District calculator is a privilege extended to students for use inside and outside the school facility. The District’s devices are provided for use as a tool for curriculum enhancement, communications,
and productivity.
All calculators are and remain the property of the Harrison Central School District and are provided to the students for a period of time as deemed appropriate by the building administration and the student’s teacher(s). With this privilege comes responsibility and as a condition of use, students and parents must sign this contract and consent form, and agree to and comply with all the following:
- I agree to prevent the risk of theft by never leaving my calculator in an unsupervised area such as the cafeteria, computer lab, locker room, library, unlocked classroom, restroom, hallways, etc.
- I will report problems with my calculator in a timely manner to the building administration.
- I understand that I may not lend the calculator to anyone, including family members and friends.
- I understand that I have been issued this calculator for use in school and at home and that I am responsible to have it with me in school for all tests and exams.
- I understand that the calculator has been issued with a charging cable, both of which need to be returned at the end of the school year.
- Upon return of the calculator all personal data will be erased.
- I assume full responsibility for the cost of repairs and/or replacement if the calculated is damaged, lost or stolen. The full replacement cost of the calculator is $135.00. I understand that I am responsible for replacement cost and that I may not meet this obligation by providing a calculator purchased or obtained elsewhere.
